The developer Jagged Alliance 3 introduced a roadmap of updates

The release day has passed, but the work on the Jagged Alliance 3 continues and the team is still committed to support for the game after the release. There were so many reviews that it took a lot of time to think and approve plans, but now the developers are finally ready to share them with the players. This roadmap includes improvements proposed by the community, as well as some of the previously unrealized ideas of the team.

Haemimont Games plans to release one patch a month, but with reservations that plans can change in the future and by the way, several surprises are in stored.

So, let’s move on to the specifics ..

Update 1.2 – code name: buns (improvements of battle)

The first upcoming patch will include various changes related to the combat aspect of the game – providing additional information in the user interface, improving and deepening the modeling of the bullet and even providing the opportunity to undergo mass battles at a faster pace. Since this patch is already close to the exit, you can also talk about some main points:

  • Misses can accidentally hit other parts of the enemy’s body
  • The number of remaining attacks in the mode "Observations" will be clearly attributed
  • The ability to make out knives and other items that were not previously subject to disposal
  • Switching button to accelerate enemy moves and allies
  • Ricochesis are capable of applying concomitant damage
  • Various improvements in close combat animation

Update 1.3 – code name: Vicki (weapons and things of Bobby Ray)

As the Jagged Alliance veterans know well, “Weapons and other Bobby Ray” is the best and, quite possibly, the only online equipment store for mercenaries.

No other function from Jagged Alliance 2 was so in demand by a community of players as this! Everyone misses Bobby Ray and is pleased to provide him with a service and expand his services with delivery to the Grand-Chen! This will allow new and used weapons, armor and ammunition, and ultimately, to equip your mercenaries exactly as you want, while you have enough diamonds!

Update 1.4 – code name: wolf (improvement of the screen of operations)

The next update is concentrated on finalizing the card of the card from the satellite. This will improve the work of sectoral hiding places and the conflict screen interface. Both of these screens are currently somewhat confusing, and the authors study methods of organizing information in the best way.

Some operations, for example, reconnaissance will be improved and balanced in this patch. Finally, for mercenaries – loners there will be a way to improve their characteristics without a coach.

Update 1.5 – code name: Larry (modding of cards and campaigns)

As mentioned earlier, the second update for modding will offer tools such as editors of cards and quests. The card editor will allow you to change existing cards, adding new objects and quests, or create completely new cards from scratch. These cards can be easily added to the plot campaign or used to create a completely new user scenario supplemented by new quests, NPC, dialogues and interactions.

This will open doors for large -scale modding projects, such as the reconstruction of the old Jagged Alliance games.

The next Devstream on Monday

It will be possible to discuss patches next Monday, September 18, at 18:00 Moscow time. The broadcast will take place on the Haemimont Games Twitch channel.

Patch 1.2 will be released in the very near future, the dates of the appearance of other updates will be presented later.
