After two years of early access, the medieval strategic game Going Medieval continues to develop successfully
Going Medieval is a medieval strategic game in which we play the role of the leader of a small community trying to restore civilization in the region once covered by deadly plague.
We begin our adventure with the founding of a modest settlement, but over time – using the advanced possibilities of construction and planning – we will be able to turn it into a strong and prosperous kingdom. However, the path to this will be difficult, because dangerous bandits will want to prevent us from this. To avoid danger, we need to ensure security in the form of defensive walls or a well -trained army.
Thanks to the many capabilities of the independent production of Foxy Voxel, the game – despite the fact that it was stuck in early access for two years – is practically unhappy in the community. An excellent indicator of this is reviews about the game on Steam. At the moment, Going Medieval on Valve has 14532 reviews, of which almost 90% (13072) – positive.
Things are going well in terms of the number of active players. In recent days, more than 2,000 people played the game (according to Steamdb), which, given the genre of the game and the fact that two years have passed since its release in early access, is a worthy of admiration for the result.
Such a large strategy is mainly explained by the fact that the developers are constantly improving the game. Last week (on the occasion of the anniversary of the game in early access), a large update was released, which made changes to almost all aspects of the game. However, if we distinguish specific elements that have been seriously restructured, you should mention the temperature (affecting the flora, fauna and settlers) and environmental effects. You can get acquainted with the details of the update by this link.
Finally, the developers from Foxy Voxel did not report when you can expect the release of the final version of Going Medieval.
