WildCard Studio announced the postponement of the release date of Ark: Survival Asceend
The fans were right – WildCard announced the postponement. The remasted version of the game will no longer appear in August, as indicated earlier, but will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC in October 2023.
At the same time, turning off the server of the original Ark: Survival Evolved was also postponed to the same period, since Ascentend will supplant the old version.
In the STUDIO WildCard community, she explained that the transfer of deadlines was necessary, since work with Unreal Engine 5.2 seemed to her "complex".
"Every day we open new ways to bring the technology to a new level; In combination with the work necessary to support a completely cross -platform, modified game ecosystem on consoles and PCs, it becomes clear that we will need a little more time", – reported in the studio.
It was also confirmed that The Island will be the only card available at the start of Askeded, and the Scorched Earth card will be released only in December. Some of them, such as Ragnarok and Abberation, are scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2024, and the rest have no exit date yet.
Since there will be less content in the debut than promised, Studio WildCard decided to reduce the price of the Ark Survival version: Askeded for early access to $ 44.99, and when the game is launched, which will reduce the price to $ 39.99.99.
According to previously published details, ARK: Survival Askeded will receive comprehensive graphic improvements thanks to the Unreal Engine 5 and Nanite, Lumen and RTXDI technologies. Among other changes – dynamic fluid management and interactive foliage, as well as new content, changes in gameplay and balancing.
The game will support cross -platform multiplayer and anti. Moreover, mods will also be cross -platform due to cooperation with Overwolf, which will make mods for the PC accessible and on consoles.
As already mentioned at the beginning, after launching Ark: Survival Askeded Survival Evolution Servers for PC, Xbox and PlayStation will be closed, while the servers for Nintendo Switch will remain active. Players’ conservation will be transferred to a new game. In Ark: Survival Evolved can still be played, but only in a solitary game and on unofficial servers.
